I call this "Birthday Bell" because I did most of the work on my 78th birthday. The base is a 1930s International truck rim. The axle is a total unknown, found in Dad's woods. 1920s truck frontend leaf spring is also from Dad's woods. I bought the horse drawn Spring Harrow (source of teeth) 40+ years ago at farm estate auction (owner's 60 year old son said the harrow had not been used in at least 50 years). U-bolt attaching axle to leaf spring was reshaped from 1950s muffler clamp. CO2 tank has been kicking around my stuff for over 50 years. Bell pull is hemp rope I got in early 80s, off a floating timber, in the San Juan islands. Bell clapper is 3-1/2" dia x 1/2" thick steel plate. Dog bone, pot hangers and other tidbits are shop made from scrap.
